Why I’m a Doula
My Name is Rosalynn but my friends call me Roz!
Roz is a dedicated Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, certified by both DONA International and CAPPA. With a passion for supporting families through childbirth and beyond, she brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her work. As a Certified Lactation Specialist and Community Doula, Rosalynn has a strong commitment to serving her community, particularly in advocating for equitable maternal and child health that specializes in Faith Based Doula Care!
As a mother of six children, ranging in age from young adults to infants, Rosalynn understands the diverse experiences and challenges families face. This personal experience enriches her professional practice, allowing her to provide empathetic and holistic support. She is also a devoted wife, married to a loving husband who is a Navy Veteran. Their partnership is a source of strength and joy, deeply influencing her approach to family-centered care.
Rosalynn's professional journey is marked by a deep-seated love for all things birth. She is passionate about helping families navigate the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. Her work extends beyond the typical duties of a doula; she is also involved in flag worship at her home church, finding spiritual fulfillment and expression in this unique form of praise. This spiritual practice complements her faith-based approach to doula care, offering a unique blend of support that honors the holistic needs of her clients.
In her leisure time, Rosalynn enjoys reading and gardening. These hobbies offer her a peaceful retreat from her busy professional life, allowing her to recharge and stay grounded. Her love for reading keeps her informed and continually learning, while gardening provides a connection to nature and a source of joy.
Rosalynn's multifaceted life experience, from being a devoted mother and wife to a professional birth worker and beyond, makes her a compassionate and knowledgeable doula. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive support to families, helping them feel empowered and confident during one of life's most transformative periods.

What I Do
All pregnancies are different, with each experience being special and unique in its own way. That’s why I work with you to customize my support services, always striving to meet your needs and expectations. I invite you to view the services I offer below, and get in touch with me to schedule an initial meeting. Rates apply:
Just like a surfer studies the waves.... Our first lessons in child birth includes tips on how to recognize and tackle different types of waves. So "Let's ride your wave together"
Plan A: Plunging Point Wave
$1,600-$2000 *Prenatal. 3 visits birth plan including 1 doctor visit Birth. 4 Post Partum visits
Plan B: Beach Wave
$500-$775 *Consult. Birth. 2 Postpartum visits
* Virtual Doula Support up to 6 hours
2024-2025 With limited Birth Services
2025 RWDS Will Be Transitioning to Virtual and In Person Postpartum Services Only.
Basic Breastfeeding Education
$45 *1 1/2 hour session on Need to Know. Kit and resource sheets.
Breastfeeding/ Lactation/ Anatomy Sessions- In Depth

*20 minute free phone mini consult about services and needs.

BIRTHING GUIDANCE
After beginning our relationship with a meet and greet, I am committed to your health and the wellbeing of your growing family, available whenever needed throughout your entire pregnancy as well as after giving birth. I will be there to provide you with continuous emotional and physical support, and answer any and all questions you may have.

POCKET VIRTUAL SERVICES
Get extra personal support throughout the entirety of your birthing journey. As your Doula, I promise to offer unwavering support to you and your family before, during, and after birth. I will stay in close contact in order to routinely check how you’re doing and offer anything needed.
Virtual Birth Doula Support - $450
Receive expert guidance and personalized care through virtual consultations, available via video calls, phone calls, or messages. Enjoy the convenience of connecting from the comfort of your own home while gaining the knowledge and support you need to feel empowered throughout your pregnancy and birth.
What’s Included:
• Three 90-minute virtual sessions (via phone, video, or in-person) to discuss your options, prepare for childbirth, and receive childbirth education.
• Ongoing birth plan evaluation with feedback via email, phone, and text.
• Unlimited virtual support throughout labor (including 2 hours after birth), with prompt responses to texts, calls, or video chats, no matter the time of day.
• Six weeks of virtual postpartum support, including messages, calls, and video chats.
• Postpartum virtual meet-up for continued guidance after birth.
Throughout this process, you’ll:
• Address any fears or concerns you may have.
• Create a birth plan tailored to your values and preferences.
• Review your previous birth experience and gain insights.
• Understand your legal rights in the hospital setting.
• Receive comprehensive childbirth education on topics of your choice.
• Learn effective coping techniques and pain management strategies for labor.
• Explore all your birthing options to make confident decisions.
This package is an ideal choice for those outside of my service area or international clients.
