Here at Radical Waves Doula Services LLC, Roz the doula is passionate about providing affirming and trauma-informed support to those most marginalized by the medical system, especially Black and brown people. She provides emotional, mental and practical support as well as advocacy and education to prepare and support the whole family through pregnancy, birth and beyond. Holding space for birthers and families, is what fuels her heart as a Doula.

Why I’m a Doula
My name is Rosalynn but my friends and family call me Roz.
Rosalynn (Roz) Perkins is dedicated to helping birthing persons achieve healthy outcomes. She is a Health Connect One Certified Full Spectrum Holistic Doula, Community Doula with the BOMB (Birth Outcomes Made Better) Doula program at the City of Milwaukee Health Department, mental health and complex illness navigator doula, certified lactation specialist, certified placenta encapsulator and owner of a holistic health and wellness doula business, Radical Waves Doula Services, LLC.
Roz was born and raised in Milwaukee, born to a brave Black mother and of a Mexican prideful father. She quickly fell in love with doula work in 2020 during her pregnancy of her fifth baby. Roz lead conversations citywide while being an active bedside and home visiting doula to support Black birthing bodies of metro Milwaukee through the storm of the COVID-19 pandemic. After 2 years of being a doula Roz retired early from Federal Government serving Veterans for 13 years to follow her calling to birth ministry.
She provides support and advocacy for those navigating birth, parenthood and reproductive healthcare. Roz is passionate about providing affirming and trauma-informed support to those most marginalized by the medical system, especially Black and brown people. She provides emotional, mental and practical support as well as advocacy and education to prepare and support the whole family through pregnancy, birth and beyond. Holding space for birthers and families, is what fuels her heart as a Doula. When Roz is not talking about, thinking about birth work she loves getting lost in a book, enjoys worship and praise dance-flag worship, and being a loving wife and mother of 5 active kiddos.
You will enjoy my openness to take on all your birth needs by helping guide you to what will be a love story of family. We will be the pieces that fit together in this grand puzzle of birthing in our community by being informative and impactful for you and your family!

All pregnancies are different, with each experience being special and unique in its own way. That’s why I work with you to customize my support services, always striving to meet your needs and expectations. Just like a surfer studies the waves.... Our first lessons in child birth includes tips on how to recognize and tackle different types of waves. So "Let's ride your wave together"
Plan A: Plunging Point Wave
$1,600-$2000 *Prenatal. 3 visits birth plan including 1 doctor visit Birth. 4 Post Partum visits
Plan B: Beach Wave
$500-$775 *Consult. Birth. 2 Post Partum visits* Virtual Doula Support up to 6 hours.* limited services 2022
2023 February Transitioning to Postpartum Services Only.

Sliding scale pricing starting at $180.00. January-March 2023 special delivery clients $145.00 with sitz bath herb packet. Processing service is in Traditional Chinese Method *placenta is steamed with ginger, lemon, and peppers. Then dehydrated, and ground for encapsulated pills for your taking. Benefits: reduce pain and bleeding, replenishes iron and minerals back into body, help with milk supply and also help with postpartum hormone balances PPMD, baby blues! Can’t wait to process your placenta for all those amazing holistic benefits!!!
*All Bereavement consults are free of charge with needed resources at time of consult.

After beginning our relationship with a meet and greet, I am committed to your health and the wellbeing of your growing family, available whenever needed throughout your entire pregnancy as well as after giving birth. I will be there to provide you with continuous emotional and physical support, and answer any and all questions you may have.
Get extra personal support throughout the entirety of your birthing journey. As your Doula, I promise to offer unwavering support to you and your family before, during, and after birth. I will stay in close contact in order to routinely check how you’re doing and offer anything needed.
